Post Your 2013 PSAT Scores and State

Son finally got his access code from College Board via email…not from his school! School has been really slow to mail out the hard copy of his results. All the waiting paid off though as he got a 223 in Florida (76R 75M & 72W). We’re all beyond thrilled and good luck to all those awaiting their results.

221 PA 99th percentile

Do you guys think I am safe with this score? Last year PA had their highest PSAT cutoff at 217?

Son got a 215 in PA–still 99th percentile. Not awesome, but there’s a chance we’ll be pleasantly surprised if PA comes down from last year’s scores. Either way, we’re happy with what this suggests about where his SAT scores may fall, as he’s not interested in super-competitive colleges.

His scores were 73 CR, 65 M, 77 W. (That was just one wrong on the writing on the Sat. test, for the person who asked about that.)

I think that 218 is a fine score and you should be proud of your son regardless of what the nms cutoff is! Have a great day madam!

Was very worried about CA’s high cutoff but ended up with a 233. Congrats to everyone. Even if u didn’t get a qualifying score use it as a stepping stone for ur SAT, after all thats way more important Goodluck!

Son got 217 in IL. 72 CR, 75 M, 70 W. One casual error in math cost him 5 points, ridicules! Seems OK to meet the cutoff score, but who knows.

My D got 220 in IL
69 CR -5 wrong
73 M- 3 wrong
78 W - 1 wrong

232 in Connecticut
80 CR/75 M/77 W

223 texas

I dunno, but I feel like we’ve earned bragging rights.

CA (junior, taken on Wednesday): 225 CR 79(-1); M 76 (-1, very costly for 1 error); WR 70 (-3, saw some posts saying WR 74 with 2 wrong).

Saw CA scores pretty high (over 230 from a couple of posts here). Hope our score with drag down CA’s cut-off line :-)

Maths 1 wrong is 78 not 76 I think

Jerseyboy, it makes a difference whether you test on Wednesday or Saturday.

Maths 1 wrong on Wednesday is 78 and Maths 1 wrong on Saturday is 75 I think. My son got 1 wrong on Wednesday and got 78. Someone has posted 1 wrong on Saturday as 75

Ah, right you are Jerseyboy! My mistake…I just assumed it was a W/S confusion thing. Here’s the data (Page 5): http://professionals.collegeboard.com/profdownload/understanding-psat-nmsqt-scores.pdf

Looks like a 76 on Wednesday means 2 wrong, or possibly 1 wrong, 1 omitted.

D in IL got a 213 - 98th percentile. Not great, but she thought she had totally blown it, and now finds out that she missed by not much.

that’s right, my son get one wrong on Saturday and scored 75
