History of Rock and Roll................................my friend took that class and said it was EZ but I forgot when he took it (Not the first quarter though). I hope you know what you're getting yourself into. 17 units might be a bit too much (in terms of workload, studying etc) for a first quarter schedule. I think its better for you to take 13/14 units instead and get a better feel of your study habits/capabilities. Bear in mind that I know MANY people who got pwned in first quarter of their freshmen year by taking 17 units+. If it helps, I took math 32a, chem 20a, and music 15 during my first quarter.

automath, I'm taking music 15 next quarter, how was the class in terms of difficulty?

Thanks. I'll take it later - I'm just afraid I won't graduate in four years. =P

i have 17 units too, but thats including marching band, so i dunno if that counts. Is it typical for most to graduate in 4 years? I heard that the engineering dept. is trying to make it so its easier to do that. anyways, I'd like that.

12 units, and i am proud of oonly taking 12 units.

Funnyman, Music 15 was a joke. I had Chapman when I took it but I think there is an Asian(?) lady teaching the class also. There is little/no work required for this class. All you have to do is attend the lectures, take GOOD notes, write up a few concert reports. The midterm and final are both multiple choice........and the answers are pretty obvious if you have been to the lecture. Overall an easy class.

Excelent!!

malishka: wow, how do you take 2 math classes at the same? don't they work in a sequence?

no they arent, 33a is "srongly recommended" but its not a prequisite for 33b. And these are my last lower level courses, so i need to get them done asap.

I am horrified by the lack of engineering majors in this thread

Aw, you're a unique snowflake Citan. Enjoy it. Or something.

/I'm always sad that I'm the only Comm major around here. I get all excited when anyone posts that they're even thinking about Comm.

I'm an engineering major, just trying to finish up a bunch of upper div math this quarter... fun times.
