Post your November 2010 SAT II scores!

@fledgling: I’m not proficient in many, no - only English and Spanish, although I’ve just started taking French at school. What kind of score demonstrates to a college that I’m “proficient”? Is my 760 good enough, or would an even higher score make a big difference? (I actually have thought about majoring in something with languages/linguistics.) What else can I do to show mastery of a language besides SAT IIs and APs (since my school doesn’t offer the latter)?

I’d say anything that is 700 or higher is a sign of proficiency in the language. There’s not that big of a difference between a 760 and an 800, though if you feel like you can improve, you can always retake.

Hmm, there’s the National Spanish Exam that’s offered every year. Then there’s the National French Exam. You can get your school to register for it if you wish.

Sigh… I feel like a failure. Definitely retaking them during December…

Chinese w/ Listening: 790
Math I: 690
Math II: 640

Should of just took Eng Lit since I’m better at literature than math… == But I just wanted to challenge myself and look what happens! T__T

Math II: 800
Chemistry: 730 :(

@Owelehn and 91shippy, thank you guys so much for the encouragement. You have no idea how much I need it right now. I think I’m going to take Math I, actually. I am too torn apart by my Math II score of 640 to dare confront it again. I think I may have a better chance with Math I.

It’s good to hear that I haven’t blown my chances. I am confident in the other parts of my application (essays, recs, EC’s) and I do have an EC that makes me stand out among other applicants. Here is to hoping for the best.

Cheers,
an international applicant

i am so nervous

790 in Spanish w/ Listening
740 in Literature

I was in denial about scores being available since I was scared to see them,
but then my dad called long distance just to ask for my scores, leaving me with no choice but to check them.

I’m happy with Spanish!~
although that literature score seems to need a re-take ._.

anywhoozles
congratulations to those that are happy with their scores!~

710 Bio M
780 German with Listening… grrrr… Leichtsinnsfehler -.-

790 Chinese(: Non-native! So happeeee

800 math II
800 physics

730 Math II
710 U.S. History (no review)
680 Biology E (no review for four years. whooo!)

It’s funny how I felt so uncomfortable with the Math section that it forced me take a third test (Biology) just in case.

I’m quite satisfied, actually.

Physics - 800

Chemistry - 780. I feel ambivalent; on one hand, if I scored any lower, I would have retaken. On the other, I was really hoping for an 800.

^ Hahaha, you’re not alone! That’s also how I feel about the 790’s I got… :p

690 Math II
800 French w/listening
Skipped literature…Was lazy/5 on AP exam/A’s in English class for 9 straight MPs :P

^Why wouldn’t you take literature if you’re so skilled in it?

that’s how I feel about Japanese. WHY didn’t I take it??? I regret it so much. Both of my friends who took it who aren’t native got like 700’s and I am better than them for the most part. I’m not native, but it’s my niche. If only it wasn’t only offered in november.

740 -______- for chinese LOOL

If I’ve already shown my skill, I don’t see why I should take yet another test to prove it. It’d just be redundant.
Plus, I was hungry/tired, so I wanted to go home.

SAT II’s are optional at my ED school anyway; these were for fun :D

640 Math II
630 Lit

■■■. international & asian.

verifying scores. also retaking. another sat II coming up.
