Post Your SAT II's Here

God knows how but i got a 690 on Oct. SAT I Math. So I decided to take Math II & Math I for SAT II's my scores:

Math I: 730
Math II: 750

I know UPenn doesn't have the average scores of their SAT II's but in the 25-75 percentile would you say my scores fall right around the 50th percentile?

Post your scores also!

Biology E - 730
Math I - 710
Lit - 670 (just gonna leave it at that)

i think 700s are usually in the 2nd/3rd quartiles.

760 Math II
740 Chem

…630 spanish LOL

Math II - 790
Physics - 780
Latin - 730

What would you consider an “acceptable” subject test score for a school like Penn… given that GPA, rank, ECs, ACT/SAT1 are pretty much right on point?

What would you consider to be good for Penn? Bad for Penn?

700+ is good for a non hooked app. 750+ is excellent
660-690 won’t really have an impact.
<650 could eff you over.

2 cents

US History-790
French w/o listening-750 (not native speaker)
Math I-730
Literature-730

So paraphrase aluminum_boat a 700+ is “good” for Penn as an avg. applicant. And 750+ is excellent?

Also, how much do you think Penn will weigh in a 750 on math 2 vs. 800 on math 2. Do they care that you score 750+ or will it be of significant impact?

^
yep. But I think one score of 750+ is necessary for most people(average applicants). Give or take a few points

I don’t think it’ll matter too much. Igot a 770 math and I don’t think it’s separates me from the 800s. I think aime… state amc top scorer… Etc… Cover the difference. Hard math courses and a’s and other stuff more than cover the difference

And I don’t think colleges will make decisions based solely on 2 or three questions

True. Will a 660-690 really not have an impact? I feel like those scores could “eff you over” ha. No?

Big fails:

math II; 730
chem; 710
us hist; 660

I don’t think they’ll eff you over. But they’re not a highlight of your resume. Everything else better be good. It’s too late now. Don’t worry.

^ If you have around 690, then it may be a little bit on the lower side. I don’t think it necessarily “effs you over” but it means you need to shine significantly more through your essays and ECs. It does depend what school in Penn you’re applying to, and which subject test you got the lower score on though.

I was pretty happy with my results today: Math II-760 / US History-720
I had a 690 in MathII and a 600 in US History at first. I expected to get like a 620 in US history this time since I hadn’t picked up anything history-related since the AP test and I only skimmed through 20 chapters of the AMSCO book in 3 hours by 4:00am. My guessing skills didn’t fail me like it usually does this time!

Math 800 Physics 800 Chem 800 Bio 780

don’t judge. Test-taking is my forte and my (much) lower school mark is more reflective of my ability.

I like how you are defending your super high scores ha… like “I swear I’m really not this smart!” as though it’s a bad thing that you are pretty much a genius lol.

^ It’s true that I try harder at school and get low 90’s, which I’m sure many CCers would smirk at. I just have some magic with collegeboard exams =p

haha, well, I am very jealous of your gift. You should share your magic.

…and any CCers who smirk at a few A-s just need to calm down, lol.

Math II- 750
Lit- 750
Bio E- 750

It’s too late to send in scores for ED right? I think they wanted everything by the 15th

Math II - 800
Chem - 800
Bio - 770
Spanish - 710
