Hello, I recently got accepted at UCLA for the Fall 2007 term as a Sociology major.
However, I plan to change my major to Political Science and I currently have a 4.0 in all prerequisites for that major except for Statistics. I attend Santa Monica College and our grades aren't due until Wednesday, officially, but there are leeways in checking grades before the said date, i.e. ecompanion and the telephone access system.
My current grades are as follows:
Comp Gov. - A
Pol. Philosophy - A
English 2 -B
and Statistics- D

I wanted to know what I can do to better present my situation so that I don't get my admissions repealed.

Some more information:
I'm a scholars student, i took all my scholars classes in one semester, I had a 3.39 GPA at time of application, I had a lot of leadership, I worked, I volunteered, I'm taking 3 courses over the summer at UCLA, I paid my initial deposit for University Housing, I got my BruinCard, and I signed up for orientation already.

I was hoping another leeway could be the fact that for Political Science majors, UCLA is no longer accepting Statistics as a prerequisite course for Fall 2008. Also, in terms of Stats as a GE, I have already taken Math Analysis and Calculus 1 at a community college and recieved B's in both courses.

ANY HELP YOU MAY OFFER WOULD BE GREAT, and in your opinion, would you as someone reading my appeal let this slide or repeal my admissions?

THANK YOU VERY MUCH, PLEASE HELP!! =(
