I recently got into my dream school for CS but I’m dropping my AP CS course due not being able to keep up with the course work because of college apps. This is because I completely overestimated myself and thought that I could myself 4 months of material into a month but that didn’t happen and I currently have a C. However, my teacher made me sign a contract stating that if I get lower than a 45% on the finals then I would have to drop the course(which I think will happen). If I were to drop the course, would my admission for computer science get revoked?
Generally it’s best to get approval prior to dropping a course from all schools that have accepted you, as your senior year schedule was part of the admissions decision. AOs don’t like surprises when they receive final transcripts.
So, contact your AO and ask if you can drop AP CS, and also tell them if you will get lower than a C grade for the semester. Do not make excuses, or blame the college application process. Best to keep the request simple, and perhaps say something to the effect that the study hours required for that class are so great that it is impacting your ability to do as well as possible in your other classes.
You should also speak with your GC about how to approach this, and have them proof/edit the email to your AO. If you tell us the school we are talking about, posters may have some additional input.

Revocation for grades typically requires a D or F. But dropping a course that was included in your schedule during the admission process, especially on in the specific major to which you applied, is probably just as bad.
IMHO, it would be much better to complete the course with a C than to drop the course.
I agree with the above - don’t blame “ not being able to keep up with the course work because of college apps.”. Every student the college accepted, and a large portion of HS students, filled out college apps while attending class. If I were an AO, this would be a big red flag - college workload gets at least as hard as high school plus college applications. At least…
