Here are the projections for this Fall. I was just wondering if anyone had the actuak yields for Fall rather than speculation.
I might be overlooking something, but I don’t see yield in there. They show how many applications they expect and how many slots they want to fill, plus they show the previous year’s actuals. What I don’t see is how many they had to accept to get to those admission numbers. That would give you yield.
Of course. Clearly, I mis-asked the question. Thanks. What I wanted to know was the Fall 2017 actuals by major. These links only have projections for 2017-2018.
These documents are both dated March 1st (2016 and 2017), so I’m guessing March 1, 2018 is when the next one with the Fall 2017 actual numbers will be released.
Makes sense. Obviously, they are still reviewing transcripts right now, so any number they would have at this time would be in flux. Basically, I was just curious as to roughly how many new English majors there would be in the Fall. This whole thread is about an over abundance of first time freshmen, but I was curious if it was widespread or just focused in a few of the colleges.
I’m sure it’s widespread, with each major being larger by a similar percentage.
I am going to be a Resident Advisor next year and from what I’ve heard North Mountain will most likely be housed with 4 students per room. And all the red bricks will be housed with triples. They are currently setting up doubles in almost all of Poly Canyon apartments
My son received his assignment today: a double in the Red Bricks (Trinity).
People WAY overagonize triples. My son was in a triple with two guys he didn’t know previously and will be rooming with one of them again senior year. He had a great time. I’m sure he’d repeat it if given the chance.
Yeah, we toured the dorms last month. The rooms were bigger than they looked online. It might have been a bit tight, but it wouldn’t have been the end of the world. In some ways, it forces the kids to get out of their rooms. We weren’t really too worried. I just posted his situation as a bit of anecdotal evidence. There are at least SOME doubles this year.
