i was just wondering how tough is WRIT 140- the one that ties in with our social issues gen-ed.... meaning how hard it is to get an A

Most people I know hated the class (there are a lot of papers to write). I for one really liked the class and got an A. My prof worked really hard with us and was friendly. But I'm rare. Many find it hard, or at least boring, if they don't like to write.

i like writing ... but if u do the hard work and stay motivated it'll be alright right?

I received an A in all my classes throughout the year, except i got a B+ in writing 140. Having said this, i spent the most time on the class and recieved my lowest grade. I don't like writing and i guess that's why i didn't like the class.

Take the class over the summer at a community college if you think it's going to be hard.

how would ppl w/ experience in ap english classes do?

I am only joining USC this fall, but my boyfriend has just finished his freshman year there. I am an International student, we take British A-levels, which are kind of like APs in that you get credit for them at university. I took English A-level and I wrote a few of the essays for my friend for his writing 140 class, and honestly, i found it really easy.. I don't mean to sound cocky! But I'm sure if you enoy writing and you're naturally good at it, that it'll be fine.

Stay away from Biscay. Ultimate GPA deflator. Expect no higher than a B+, as she rarely gives out As.

I loved my writing 140 class and my writing 140 instructor...sadly for all of you, she left to complete her doctorate. But, I'm just sayin, I LOVED the class.
