Pratt Applicant: ACT instead of Subject tests??

Is that ok for an engineering applicant?

i dont think so…i am also applying to pratt school, and i took the ACT along with 2 subject tests (mathII and physics)…but, if it is a special case, i do not know…i am sorry if i am wrong!

If you are a Pratt applicant sending an ACT score, you DO NOT need to submit subject tests of any kind. If you are a Pratt applicant sending an SAT score, you must submit two subject tests, and one of these must be in mathematics.

So i sent an SAT and ACT, I’m fine?

I honestly don’t know. I sent only the ACT and was admitted to Pratt. Pure speculation, here: They may just disregard your SAT if you failed to submit the requisite subject test, but they will consider your ACT if you took the optional writing test as well.

InvisibleMan023, yes, you’re fine. They look at and CONSIDER everything you sent, whether it’s required or not. Since you sent the ACT, you didn’t need to provide them with anything else, but if you also did well on the SAT, might as well send that along as well if it reinforces your strengths. They will most likely focus on the score that is better, but again, if they’re very close or similar, then I think it’s your advantage to have sent both as it gives an even more clear picture of you. Personally, I sent my ACT and three SAT IIs since I did well on all of them (never took the SAT) and got admitted to Pratt.

k, i just got the confirmation from Duke that they’ve received all my materials. Thanks everyone!
