Kr123, I am impressed with your statistical wizardry! :)

My son was not accepted. We were fairly certain he wouldn't get in but after spending time on campus visiting his brother he wanted to give it a shot. He had a rough time in 9th grade but we had hoped the upward grade progression and great SATs would be enough. He's already talking about transferring in as a sophomore thanks to Irish's website.

I am sorry starfish. Good luck with the transfer process and may he find happiness where ever he winds up

A girl who went to gs with my son always dreamed of going to ND, but knew test scores wouldn't let her in, so she went to SMC. She transferred into ND this year and is a very happy Domer this year--should be getting on-campus housing assignment first week of Jan. It's a very do-able thing... Most kids from my kids' hs who go to state and other schools find college easier both workload- and GPA-wise than hs was with all the dual enrollment college credit courses most of them take. (Not the case with my son for ND, by the way, but it wasn't like he killed himself with workload in hs, trust me.) So starfish goes elsewhere for a year, racks up a high GPA, which I'm sure he can do, and in he goes! Keep the faith!

I think Malibu Hippie is going the RD route...

I got in somewhere else ED, so I revoked my app. I would have liked to see if I would have got in, but didn't think it would have been fair considering I wouldn't have been going if accepted. Congrats and goodluck to everyone who did get in and is going, things just worked out that i decided another school would be a better fit for me, though Notre Dame was a close second.

Virginia?????

^ still a good choice (even tho ND is better) haha....

thats a great school and congrats on your acceptance
