Should I take pre-calc at Rutgers or at my community college? If anyone can give me information on the pre-calc class please.

Depends. Do u wanna take precalc for the sake of learning math or just 4 the credit? Rutger has a solid math department so it’ll definitely be more challenging to get a higher grade bc u cover materials in more depth. Some ppl will tell u math can’t be any different when it’s taken at any school but that’s not true

I actually want to learn I want to take pre-calc and then calc…I transferred here last semester from my community college but I’ve noticed that most of my classrooms are huge like 150 or more (might be cuz I’m a psych major). I don’t know if would be easier to learn in a small classroom of just 30 students instead of those huge lecture halls.

If you can take it at the community college then do it there. You will save yourself some money. I have been taking all of my math requirement at the CC(calculus II left) and rutgers will accept all of them. The funny thing is that my calculus teacher used to teach calculus I at Rutgers and she said it is better for her to teach in a smaller classroom.

Thanks! Then I’m definitely taking it at my community college :)

I actually have a pre-calc question. I’m currently in College Algebra, and considering taking Pre-Calc in the winter session, so that I can take Calc and University Physics concurrently in the spring. Anyone take the Pre-calc in the winter session at the newark campus? Is it hard? I’m a hard worker, but still would like to know.
