Pre-Calc 115?

Hi everyone! I'm currently a freshman at Rutgers right now. Spring 2011 is going to be my second semester here, and I was wondering if any of you could give me some input about Pre-Calc 115 vs. Pre-Calc Part 1 and 2.

When I started Rutgers in the fall, I was placed into Intermediate Algebra. I'm not really a math genius, but I could do well if I worked really hard and practiced enough (I'm the "if you study, you do well" type of person lol). Anyway, I managed to get a B in the class. Now, because its needed for a majority of the classes I'm interested in taking, I want to take Pre-Calc for my spring semester. I was originally planning to take the Part 1/Part 2 series, but when I heard about Pre-Calc 115, which teaches the whole course in one shot, I was thinking of taking it instead. I know that it's a difficult class and the professors/TA's speed through the lessons and give you exams harder than the HW problems, but I'm willing to put in the work and effort that the course requires to do well...I'm just worried that I'm expecting too much of myself out of this class and that it'll do more harm to me than good.

So basically, for anyone who took Pre-Calc at Rutgers, how is 115 and is it worth it? I would love to get this class out of the way in one shot instead of carrying it out over two semesters, but I worry that it might kill my GPA in the end. Even if I study for endless days and hours for this class..would I get the grade I deserve?

I would also add both Pre-Calc 115 and Part 1 to my schedule to try out both during add/drop week, but webreg isn't that flexible with classes lol.

Thanks for the help!

…anyone?

Well I personally didnt take Pre-Calc but i heard from my friends who did that the 1 semester one was really hard some of them even failed and had to take the 2 semester pre-calc course.

i took precalc in two parts and it was very easy. i got As in both semester and I did not have to work that hard for an A. 115 combines two semesters into one and can be challenging especially coming from the algebra course so if you want the easier course i suggest CMA 111
