Pre-Calculus/Trigonometry...are these too easy classes to be taken seriously?

Because my Math Sat was only a 620, my school, Florida State, will not let me take Calculus regardless of the fact I already took Pre-Calc in highschool and got As etc.

I want to apply to more prestigious schools for my sophomore year, NYU, UVA and UNC (+ Columbia but that's a complete dream at this point) so I am worried that none of those schools will take me seriously with those classes in my transcript.

Right now, my fall schedule looks like this

General Chem 1
Principles of Microeconomics
History of Latin America
Trig
Pre-Calculus
(15 credits)

Spring semester:
Calc 1
General Physics 1
Some history class
and probably portuguese
(probably 12 credit hours, never been a fan of physics)

Is this enough? I did decent in high school, but I was a pretty average student (B's mostly) who didn't really care much albeit with all AP classes and a 1410/1600 sat....

I am a recent immigrant too so I always thought I would just go to community college and then my local university so I never really applied anywhere except Florida State and Central Florida on a whim really, and although I loveeeee FSU so far, I feel if I don't at least apply to other more prestigious schools I will always regret it

Why wouldn’t these courses look good to transfer admissions if you do well in them? A’s in two high level math courses at the same time are still A’s. (That is, if you can get an A)

My community college place me in a pre-college level mathematics course because I was off by one point on the math section of my ACT even though I’d taken Alg. II/Trig and “Advanced Math” (which was like a mash-up of advanced Trig and Calc) in high school with over 100% at the end of the year in both classes. So you know what I did? I *****ed to the Dean of Mathematics and she told me I could take another placement test of sorts to get out of it, but there was a MAJOR drawback, so I didn’t do it. And my grade right now is about 109% in that class.

And it’s only a semester! Use it as a review or prep because the work might be harder than anticipated. Just wait it out, it won’t kill your chances of getting into these schools that you’ve take gasp! Pre-calculus!
