Hi,
I am an incoming freshman who got a 4 on AP Calc AB. I’m currently enrolled in 16b but there is still room in 16a. Will I have sufficient calc knowledge for 16b or is it safest to take the whole sequence and raise my gpa by retaking first semester calc?
You can try the old exams for 16A to see if you know the material well enough to skip it and go on to 16B.

Consider taking the 16A and hope to get an easy “A” to raise your GPA. Son did that with 1A to built a stronger foundation and found college calculus to be more difficult that high school calculus or the AP calculus test. He ended up getting a “B”. But, every student is different.
