Am I the only one who has no idea on course selections?
We don't even know which professors or which courses are fun to take.
Can we wait till we get more info? Is the class going to be filled up really quickly?

So, I am thinking of going to Haas, and I found the list of requirement courses.
And I was looking through the Lit/Writing requirements. Does that mean I can pick any classe in Lit/Writing? Is there any disadvantage if you take one over another?

If a certain class is known to be difficult, will the Haas admission be impressed that you took it?
I think Performance Literature or Playwriting will be interesting, but is it okay to take that class over, lets say, Advanced Composition, that sounds more like a core class?
And I am not only talking about Lit/Writing but in general course selection.

So my main point is, which class should I take? What should I consider in deciding courses for Haas?

no, there’s a set list of courses that will satisfy the requirement. You can find it using google search.

Google search? thanx! but i was talking about inside the Lit/Writing, there were so many classes that you could take that give lit/writing credit. do i just pick any class that interests me? or harder one?

I think they are viewed the same. There is no way they can check which ones are harder/easier.

Proposed changes for Haas might take away the Lit/Writing requirement, add another semester of calculus, and not have to finish breadth in before applying. New changes posted end of spring 2010.

I thought you didn’t have to finish your breadths before applying? Don’t you just need to have them done BY the end of sophomore year?

It said it will be changed to simply a degree requirement. Which means before, you needed the breadth done in the first 2 years (if you were applying sophomore). But in the future it has to be done in the first four years.
