pre-major

Hi,
In my "Welcome letter" it says that my major is pre-major in arts and science. I applied for Business and International Studies, how do I know what I'll actually be studying next fall?
:)

You’ll know what you’ll be studying next fall by the classes you choose to take :)

You can take any classes you want. You’re not accepted into ANY major now and are not obligated to anything. I would recommend getting the pre-reqs for the intended major filled or starting to work on your Areas of Knowledge (nw, vlpa, i&s, etc)

Ok, thanks! I’m in the IB and will hopefully earn credits for HL economics (if i earn a grade of 6 or better, this covers eco 200 and 201) and HL Spanish. Does that mean I don’t have to take economics classes if i choose to major in for ex. international studies? :)

Yes, that’s what it would mean. Although I might suggest doing the political economy track, which would have you start at 300. If you double with business, take business econ 300 and have them substitute for the Arts & Sciences Econ, instead of the other way around, your GPA will thank you.
