I have been researching the pre-med program for about a month now and I am extremely confused what major will increase my chances of acceptance into medical school. I want a major that will interest me, allow me to reach the pre-med requirements, increase my chances of acceptance into medical school, but also will act as a safe major incase I am not accepted into Medical School. Any suggestions for majors? (i would prefer a major in the engineering and/or science fields)

"what major will increase my chances of acceptance into medical school"

Nothing. Just stay away from the easy majors and you'll be fine (it's hard to tell what are considered easy majors but I'd say anything about public health is good to stay away from).

"allow me to reach the pre-med requirements"

All majors allow this.

"but also will act as a safe major incase I am not accepted into Medical School."

Unless you're interested in research or fields outside science, then become an engineering major. Just be warned that med schools don't take into consideration how deflated your major's GPA is.

Which undergraduate colleges noticed through engineering and/or sciences, have a great pre-med advisor, that you would suggest? (northeastern region of the united states)
