Pre-med at Barnard .. Specific courses and order

I want to take Chemistry next year, but I’m not sure which one I’m supposed to take. I know that Barnard’s pre-med has a specific order that is necessary. Also, which physics class do I need to take? And which level of Calculus is required?

Thanks

THere are pre-med advisors there, right? I know my d considered doing that for a bit, and she went to a meeting during her first year there specifically for pre-med students. Sorry I can’t answer your question, but I am sure there is someone on campus who can…

A lot of the premeds take chemistry first. Others start with Biology. You should note that Gen Chem and Organic are taught in a sequence that other colleges don’t follow: Gen chem, first semester; Organic, second semester; Organic II, first semester of the next year; then the last semester of Gen Chem. The lab for the first part of Organic is the hardest lab my daughter has had at Barnard. Hard in the sense of time consuming.

Thanks

I made an appointment with the pre med advisor
