Is there a good pre-med program at Dartmouth? Do a lot of people get accepted to good med schools after attending Dartmouth?

anyone?....

DO a lot of people get accepted into "good" medical schools? Considering that an overwhelming number of students in this country attend med. schools in their home states at their stat U med schools because 1) that is where they intend to practice and 2) the cost are considerably lower what would you consider to be good med schools? IF you are asking do students get accented to med school at H and Y, yes they do.

Keep in mind that there is really no such thing as a 'Pre- med program", However there are courses that medical schools expect for you to take. These include: chemistry, organic chemistry, biology and physics which are given at almost every college in the country. Is orgo going to be the great leveler for a lot of students? Yes it will no matter what college you attend.

No matter where you go to school it is still going to be a pretty numbers driven process where getting a 35/36 in the MCATs is going to be a great thing.

hope this helps:

Does anyone know about what percentage of Dartmouth undergrads are who apply to med school are accepted? I know the number will change from year to year, but does is there an average statistic?

Also, are Dartmouth undergrads given priority in admission to Dartmouth medical school? Is there any andvantage for Dartmouth undergrads in acceptance to Dartmouth med school?
