Pre-Med at maryland

How are the pre-med courses at Maryland? Are they notoriously difficult? Or are they weed out courses? Or are they manageable if you put in the necessary effort?

I've heard that classes such as Intro Biology and Organic Chemistry can be tough

How about the other courses like BSCI330 (Cell Biology and Physiology) or BCHM461 (Biochemistry) or the Human Anatomy courses? BSCI201 and 202 or BSCI222 (genetics)?

I just wanted to get a picture of what adding pre-med courses to my major will be like, if it will be time consuming or unnaturally difficult.

they’re really not that hard. some people have trouble with intro bio and the chem progression, but if you put forth some effort and you’re relatively smart, then you won’t have a problem with any of your large lecture classes.

thanks for the reply. Anyone else have input?
