Does anyone know which BS/MD programs are test-optional as almost 90% of schools have gone test-optional?
I have heard that Brown University and CWRU BS/MD programs have gone test-optional so I was wondering if there are any others such as Northwestern and other ones that have also gone test-optional?
Don’t rely on what you have heard, go to each program’s website for their standardized testing requirements. If the info is not on the website, contact an admissions person.
BTW, NU HPME is not accepting any applications this year.
Do you have any good recommendations on good pre med colleges on the east coast that are not too prestigious and close to lehigh university?
Well, I would put Lehigh on that list, lol. Depending on what you consider ‘close’ or ‘not too prestigious’ look at Lafayette, Franklin and Marshall, Dickinson, Bucknell, Juniata, Susquehanna, Penn State, Ithaca, Suny Binghamton, U Delaware, Rutgers. Not sure how Muhlenberg would be for pre-meds.
Basically I want schools that are not weeding out students like Johns Hopkins, Duke University, and other similar university and instead are looking for colleges like UNC and Lehigh that have good opportunities for pre med students without weeding them out at the level of top prestigious schools.
@JaiXAmin You should probably post this in the BS/MD applicants thread (2020-21) on CC, as the people there are VERY familiar with both the BS/MD and the traditional application routes.
@JaiXAmin
You are going to find the required premed courses similarly difficult at every single college.
You have a price limit of $40,000 a year. What is the matter with one of your instate public universities? Rutgers, TCNJ, or Rowan would all be affordable choices for you. All send kids to medical school.
