Pre-med help plz

So for med school we have to take Bio 113, 114, and another bio course of our choice. I have been told that there is one of the bio courses that is really easy. I can’t remember whether it was Mol Gen or Micro Bio, but there was one that is supposedly a guaranteed A if you got an A- or higher in Bio 113 and 114. Anybody have any clue what I’m talking about?

HERE WE GO! this is what they suggest:

Biology 113, 114, and one additional advanced biological science class*

*Examples include Molecular Genetics 500, Microbiology 509, etc.

I’m a history major (that wants to be a doctor) and that is honestly where my interests lie, so I am just trying to get the highest possible grade in that third bio class lol.

So, if anybody knows what is considered the easiest, let me know please.

I took Microbio 509 and it was massively easy.

So a Biology major has to take more Bio than a pre- med? ??? Bio major says 113, 114, 401, 402 and then courses in specialty area, like forensic biology. That is about 5 more courses.

How hard is the Bio major compared to what you are talking about?

I was going to try and do Biochemistry 511, Anthropology 603.01, Anthropology 640.04, Micro 509 and Mol Gen 607; coupled with a double major in Anthropological Sciences.

Well, yeah a biology major has to take more Bio than a pre-med kid. However, a Bio kid ends up taking some of the pre-med courses on the way anyway which is why Bio is usually considered the “Pre-med major”. Pre-med kids only take 3 quarters of biology.

What I’m talking about is being a non-science major and a pre-medical student. So, is it easier? That depends on what your definition of easy is. Some kids are awful at non-sciences others are not. But, as a non-science pre-medical student I do end up having to take 12+ classes that are not related to my degree in any way whatsoever. I will definitely say that Bio is significantly easier the Chemistry though. That is for sure.
