Pre-med: Math and Social Sciences major?

I had originally planned on majoring in compsci at Dartmouth in addition to being a premed, but after perusing various CC threads, I've come to the conclusion that it would be extremely difficult to get a decent GPA in CS AND the premed prereqs because of how time-consuming both are. (Can somebody maybe confirm this, or share their opinion on this?)

My next thought was to be a math major, as I've heard that it's pretty useful for not just med school but also other career tracks (and is a much denser major than, say, biology). However, I'm also very interested in the humanities and social sciences, and want to take advantage of the liberal-artsy atmosphere at Dartmouth. I started looking into the MSS major and think that it could be quite interesting. I also feel that writing a senior thesis for this major would be much more interesting and less dry than writing one for, say, pure mathematics. Is this major suitable/useful for an aspiring med student?

However, I obviously will not learn math as intensively as a pure math major would allow me to do, since only 4 math courses are required (I've already taken a lot of advanced, college-level math at my current HS). I was wondering, instead of only brushing the surface of math and a social science, should I instead double major in mathematics and a social science (haven't decided which yet), whilst also taking on the pre-med requirements? Would this be a smart move?

What do you suggest that I do? Thanks!
