I haven't taken many medical school pre requisites, can I still do a post bacc?

Yes.

This type of post-bacc is called a career changer post-bacc and AMCAS offers a searchable database of programs here:

https://services.aamc.org/postbac/

There are a handful of elite post-baccs (at places like JHU, Bryn Mawr, Georgetown, Mills College) that offer linkages–which is an early admission assurance program for high performing post-bacc students.

You can also a do a “do it yourself” post bacc at a local college or university simply by taking your med school pre-reqs there as a full or part-time as non-degree seeking student.

There is very limited FA for post-baccs (typically only unsub and private student loans).

There is no single “best” path to med school. Choose the option that fits your needs the best.

(FWIW, D1 did a do-it-yourself post-bacc and will be graduating from med school this spring.)

EDIT: I just noticed you said you haven’t taken “many” pre-med classes. I mis-read it any “any”. :">

Eligibility for formal post-baccs varies by program. You will need to check each program you’re considering applying to for their specific requirements. Some require that you have not taken any pre-reqs; the rest will allow only a limited number of credits (like 1-4 classes–but you do need to check with specific programs).

You can always do a informal or do-it-yourself post-bacc regardless of how many pre-reqs you’ve already completed.
