pre med program?

What are the specific names of pre med/pre health program/internships available in Upenn college of arts and science?(please don't mention engineering school.)

Also, any biochemistry/organic chemistry undergraduate research/internships?

LOL: looking for “why Penn” essay fodder?

The reality is you find and connect with opportunities as you see fit and that interest you. There’s no “master list” of INTERNSHIPS THAT LOOK GOOD TO MED SCHOOLS.

Internships, research positions, volunteer jobs come and go and are established by their host organizations/labs/professors as needed. You make connections, make inquiries, meet face to face – and work your butt off to connect and then sell yourself. That’s how you get these positions and roles.

I assume now, you can google research and community health related volunteer positions in Philly. Maybe get journal articles of area researchers and then directly appeal to the article writers for a job. I’m sure you can find unpaid internships in local clinics and outreach pgms to the impoverished.

Time to get out of the “high school” single-tracked thinking…

Best of luck to you.

yeah, there is no set list of internships/volunteering opportunities available

paul: this applies to every college community you may be targeting (URichmond, etc.). YOU need to go out and discover what medical/research needs are in your target community. A lg city like Philly has many needs. What are you prepared to do?

Thank you for a good reply.

I was also vaguely thinking about relating stuff, and your advice helped me clear up what I was thinking.
