pre med program

<p>Hi
i have heard that NYU has a pre med program.. does anyone have any opinions about it? it is a generally good program? extremely competitive?</p>

3.8 UW
4.3 W</p>

<p>so far have take 4 APs
senior classes have 3 more APs</p>

<p>red cross youth corps member and officer of 4 years
hope can cure cancer club officer and member of 4 years
spanish club officer and member of 2 years
project ascent program (travel abroad to beijing and hong kong) leadership/cultural program
NHS
CSF</p>

<p>SATs:
CR 610
WR 750
Math:780
best total: 2140</p>

bio 740
math II 760</p>

<p>what chances do i have of getting into the med program there? thanks</p>

<p>Er, I'm not sure what you're asking. It's not like you have to apply to be a pre-med student at NYU. Being pre-med just means you take a bunch of classes that prep you for the MCAT and med school requirements.</p>

<p>That being said, I think pre-med at NYU is pretty good. :) I graduated in May of this year, and I just started medical school. I've posted about being pre-med at NYU on this board again, so use the search function and see what I've said in the past. If you have any specific questions that don't get answered by the search, feel free to ask.</p>

<p>no i meant to ask if there were any BS/MD dual degree programs there--the ones that ensure those who are accepted into the program a spot in a specific medical school.</p>

<p>NYU used to have a BS/MD program. They don't any more.</p>
