Hi, i was wondering what pre med schools and programs should I be considering with the following information.
I am currently waiting on my second SAT score report, but my first is as follows:

Writing: 600

I have a GPA of 4.229 and my class rank is 12/427. I am involved in numerous extracurricular activities, including Student Council where I have served as Sophomore Executive and Secretary, and am now serving as President. I am involved in the Spanish Honor Sociey, National Honor Society, and numerous clubs. I am also a boy scout and earned a black belt in Taekwondo. I am also the captain of my high school swim team.

I am currently enrolled in AP/Honors classes, and have recieved straight A's all 3 years of high school, including AP classes.

I have taken:
AP English Language and Comp
AP US History

Honors:
Chemistry
Biology
Algebra
Precalculus

and will also be taking the following next year (senior year)

AP Biology
AP Calculus
Honors English Literature
Physics
Peer Leadership (Program I have been accepted into, is also a class. )

Thank you!

How are my scores? Too low?

not really sure what you’re responding too. I would advise that you bring up your SAT, because from my point of view it doesn’t seem to match with your GPA, to a college this may make your school look like it has some serious grade inflation.

*what pre med schools and programs should I be considering with the following information. *

There are no “pre-med” schools…virtually all schools offer the courses the med schools require for admittance. And good school with good science classes can be fine for pre-med.

I agree that it looks like your school has grade inflation.

What state are you in?

What can you afford? How much will your parents pay?

I am in new jersey, and if you want to know.

Looking back, DD would have preferred to have gone to one of the “guaranteed” tracks, eg:

She declined an option such as these and decided to go the regular track to have a shot at getting into a more prestigious med school, and right now she’s in a bind because her credentials are iffy.
