Can anyone recommend some schools that do well in pre med?
Also what would be a good major to go along with being premed? I have heard that med schools like their students to come from a major that is unrelated to science

med schools don’t care what you major in…science or “not science”.

What state are you in?

What is your budget?

What are your stats?

Read this:

I am from NY and my budget for pre med would be under 30K
I have about a 3.5 or 3.6 GPA with a bunch of ECs and volunteer work. I’m averaging a 1650 on practice SATs and I still have yet to take the ACT.

Hmmmm…

With your budget, you might want to go to a good SUNY and save the rest for med school.

I have been considering SUNYs but I do want to try out of state with scholarships.
Thank you for your feedback!

Unless you are a URM a real SAT in that range isn’t going to get you scholarships at OOS schools and even then maybe not. Going to need to be considerably higher for $$ most anywhere.
