pre-med transfer

I'm thinking about transferring from Columbia to Rutgers for pre-med (too expensive at Columbia). Any ideas from pre-med students on the level of complexity of pre-med courses at Rutgers? What is the lower end of GPAs from Rutgers that typically get into med schools?

Complexity of pre-med courses? I'm not sure what that means but the classes are just like any other intro level science courses..hard. They're meant to weed kids out and do an adequate job of that.

On the med school front, I'm not sure. On a guess though, I thought that your undergrad institution didn't play a huge factor in your application to med school. The GPA average nationwide for students matriculating to med school should be about the same as the GPA at Rutgers. I don't see why/how there could be a difference.

like science_please stated, the intro science courses will weed kids out...its a fact. but the pre-med courses at rutgers are just like everywhere else. orgo is hard whether you take it at harvard at rutgers or at community college.
