Pre-med vs. Pre-med advising

ok i'm a high school junior who is interested in taking pre-med. i'm a littel confused thoguh about which one is better to actually major in pre-med or go somehwere that just has a pre-med advisor? please help me

There is no such thing as a pre-med major. It's more of a state of mind.

Being pre-med merely means you wish to fulfill the requirements--Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Calculus, Biology, and Physics--in order to attend medical school. Many colleges have a pre-professional advising center consisting of pre-med, pre-law and pre-business. The advisors basically help you realize that goal, but there is no pre-med major.

Other than that, you can major in whatever you want--a liberal arts or sciences major.

well i just always found pre0med listed withthe majors and i know some schools do so i'm jsut asking which is better

"well i just always found pre0med listed withthe majors and i know some schools do so i'm jsut asking which is better"

I would avoid those schools, lol -I am half-joking, only . Premed is not a major, period. So, it should make you think when the administration of an institution calls it a "major." If they call it a "track", well, that is acceptable.

Regards,
