Hi. I am going to apply to UCLA as a piano major, but I need to send in a pre-screening tape before being selected for live-audition and I have a question about the time limit. I have four pieces that I have prepared, but they pass the time limit for the pre-screening tape, which is 12 minutes. So what do I do? Do I have to pick another piece?

I suspect you will be fine, as they probably will not listen to your entire prescreen anyway, but you should get in touch with them just to be safe. They are extremely friendly over there. It was my D’s best audition experience of all! The teachers all seemed very nurturing. Good luck!
