Pre-Screens- Has anyone heard?

From what I’ve seen here, by Dec 23rd, Inspired.

Congrats GSOMTMom!
mtmusic - based on last year’s threads - should hear from Indiana mid-month. Long wait! It’s the last one my D is waiting on!
Inspired59 - 12/23 is the published notification date from Michigan for prescreens submitted after 10/15.

Elon just pushed their projected reply date from 12/15 out to 12/20. D auditioned there on 11/15. She really liked the program & school, so it’s pins and needles as usual.

HEY, but still a response before Christmas. I hope the news is fantastic for her! I know about 4 students at Elon (2 acting, 2 MT) and they all love it!!

Congratulations all!!!

Doesn’t it feel great every time you can cross off one of the multi-steps of this process?
My son has worried about my stress level (imagine that!) and I tell him that each time something is completed, I feel a little better. This is not to say the chronic knot in my neck and shoulders is going anywhere soon!

I hear 'ya entertainersmom. I think my chronic back pain will magically disappear the day when, (and if) my daughter gets her first artistic acceptance. I had a doctor tell me once that he thought it was baloney when people told him that back pain was mostly stress-related. He said he started believing it when his back pain magically disappeared the day his divorce became final!

Congrats to everyone with all of the prescreen passes! A question to those who heard from Shenandoah, how long was it from when you submitted till you heard back either way?

I can’t remember exactly, but it took quite some time. App was submitted in early September and I think the decision came in November.

My daughter submitted Nov 26th right before thanksgiving and heard via email yesterday. I’ve been seeing three days for Shenandoah and that seems to be the case.

I guess things are happening more quickly now - I think when the app was submitted they weren’t even accepting prescreens yet. I think prescreen was submitted on 10/1

FutureMillie6 - my daughter heard exactly one week after sending in the pre-screen to Shenandoah. She submitted it on the day before Thanksgiving and heard the Wednesday after Thanksgiving. Make sure you submit the pre-screen through Decision Desk. My daughter initially started the pre-screen process for Shenandoah on Decision Desk, then was on the Accept’d website later in the week, saw Shenandoah’s name on Accept’d, hit “send” and then got an e-mail from the school encouraging her to submit her pre-screen. My daughter replied that she HAD sent in the pre-screen on Accept’d, then Shenandoah replied that, as it said on their website, they take in their pre-screens through Decision Desk. Thank God the school e-mailed encouraging her to send in her pre-screen; otherwise, we would have been waiting around forever wondering why we hadn’t heard back on the results of the pre-screen! So make sure you’ve sent it in through Decision Desk.

It was 5 days for my S to hear back from Shenandoah: submitted on 11/8, got the “yes” email on 11/13.

I sent mine in Saturday afternoon on Decision Desk and applied to the school back in the beginning of October. Hopefully it will be coming in the next few days. I think it’s taking such a long time cause I submitted on the holiday weekend when I know a lot of people submitted too. Also it was after thanksgiving so that could be part of the back up. I’m gonna keep checking my email for a notification though!

For Shenandoah my S hadn’t heard so he emailed them. They replied right back that he had passed. So any of you who are waiting might try emailing.

Congrats to your son!

Finally heard from Ithaca after D applied back in Oct.
For LA unifieds- Its a yes. Happy to have that wait done
hope all of you hear good news soon if you are still waiting on
schools.

^^YAY!! Finally! CONGRATS

Does Webster have a Prescreen? I didn’t think they did but I just went on their site and they have a link to Acceptd. I’m confused. I want my S to add them to his Unifieds list.

Some schools like Roosevelt want you to upload resumes, head shots and letters of rec through acceptd but have no prescreen. Keep digging through Webster’s website or call their office on Monday! I haven’t heard anyone talking about a Webster prescreen…

Some schools also allow a video audition if you live a certain distance away - Ohio Northern for example - threw me off when I saw the link to GetAcceptd on their site too - but with some digging figured it out!
