Austinmt is correct. For Roosevelt we had to upload documents through Acceptd, but no videos. For Webster we had to apply through commonapp and apply for an audition directly through the school, but there was no prescreen.

Can anyone tell us how long it takes to get an audition scheduled with Montclair? We sent in the app and payment on 11/28.

dreamatinydream- Congrats to your D. Taking relief one day at a time, eh?

Okay everyone time for an update on what has been a long update. After reading everyone’s posts the mail arrived and the letter was a no from Shenandoah. Today I had my UArts audition and my song was one of the best run throughs I have ever done and thought I was going to get a callback. Well then I didn’t which sucks cause I was really liking the vibe of the school after spending the day there. 2 rejections in 2 days…not the best weekend. What’s really frustrating is I got a callback from both schools at the regional practice audition I did…but no use worrying about it and I can only move forward. The good news is that luckily right before I opened the Shenandoah letter I first opened an academic acceptance to my top safety school, Mary Washington University (BA) which has been putting in some very impressive performances and I know a girl who chose to go there instead of a highly reputable audition program she was accepted to.

Oh! Also some quick stats about the audition today. There were around 50 people auditioning for MT and Acting today. We were held in 2 separate rooms, A-M and N-Z, while we waited for the auditions. Everyone was held together so it was hard to tell who was there for what, but from what I vaguely remember from introductions it was 1/4 Acting 3/4 MT in my room. Most people were rejected as they only had about 15 people called back for MT and Acting combined. Almost all of the MT boys were called back, as were both genders of the Actors. It seemed like everyone who was leaving after the list was posted was MT girls. Interestingly enough one girl who auditioned for MT was called back for Acting instead. They also said UArts has no predetermined number and will accept whoever they think will fit the school on a rolling basis with notifications given out in 1-2 weeks. A freshman MT girl who was answering questions in my holding room estimated around 47 people in her class.

Sorry to hear about the negative news Futuremillie but great to hear about you academic acceptance and I’m proud of you for your moving forward attitude.

Sorry to hear your news FutureMillie, but you have absolutely the best attitude! You will most definitely end up where you’re supposed to be. Congrats on your academic acceptance!

FutureMillie6 - I think I know the answer to my question (was the rejection from Shenandoah for academics or did you already audition there?) I recall that Shenandoah gives one acceptance so you must have auditioned.

Congrats to all, looks like everyone is getting what they wished for this holiday season - lots of auditions! Hohohohoho! Here’s hoping Santa leaves a few acceptances under the tree as well ;)

My D will be going through this process a year from now. She is currently choosing her songs and monologues that she will be using for her auditions. My question is…how do you choose what to use for the pre-screen as opposed to a live audition? Do you use the same material or something different? Thanks in advance!
