preapplication

when is the preapp due? i'm applying regular decision.

I think they prefer it asap once you have decided to apply to midd, so they can put you in their database.

what is involved in the pre-app? references? essay? thanks

no it's just statistical info. It takes like 15 minutes.

i filled most of mine out but theres not enough room for all my APs..and i dont know what date i took each on on (just the month and year)...any idea what i do?

any answers to this question?

everyone took them on the same days, so here you go :) i had to look them up too

I think it's due 12/15.

colinization's right, although they definitely prefer it sooner, I think.

question question question

what do you you do if there is not enough room on the pre-app for all the APs you have taken/will be taking???

I don't know. My school has only 6 APs, so I'll never run into that problem. I would call admissions and see what they say.

yeah..i'll call them on monday, but i really wanted to sen my pre app in today..

does anybody know?

just put in the important ones - they're not going to reject you because you didn't put in a couple APs - plus there's already space on the commonapp for aps

put in as many as you can and then put extras in the additional section of the common app

i'm about to send off the paper part of my preapplication, but i have a few questions before id do.

my essay is a page and 2 lines when single-spaced. should i double space it? 1.5 space? or leave it single spaced?

should I put my name and social security number and/or common app id at the top of my essay and graded paper?

should i put in a "cover letter" of sorts explaining who i am (with all identifying info like high school, soc sec #, dob, full name, address, or whatever) and explaining the "nature of the assignment" for my graded paper?

how many stamps?

what has everyone else done?

i wish they would let us submit it all online, it would take some of the guesswork out of it.

so middlebury doesn't have any supplemental essays?

sure it does

Apply Online

bottom of the page

ah. missed it because I thought it was on the pre-app. thanks!

rhov:
i had the exact same problem for the essay! i believe i left it single spaced, size 12 TNR

i put a "cover letter" listing the contents of my package (essay, graded essay)
on each piece of paper, i had a heading of my name, school, and DOB

i put it in a large manila envelope.. so i took it to the post office to get stamped (first class?) you may also want to get the package certified (which means you can track its arrival online)

good luck!

so the supplemental essay and the graded essay is due dec. 15? On the website it said it's due jan. 1st for RD applicants?
