hi. i took Alg2 in freshman year and scraped by with a C in the class. For the past 2 years, i've been in IB Math Studies, in which i now have an A. Math is definitely my weakness.
If i'm to apply to the most competitive schools, would you think it necessary to have precalculus and calculus on the transcript?
Also, i think they recommend a fourth year of science, so i may consider taking physics as well.
I want to reserve my senior year for some AP history and government electives i really enjoy, so my plan is to take dual-enrollment precalc and physics at the community college this summer, and continue with calculus senior year. I don't at all plan to touch math or science in college though.
Does this sound like a good plan? How long do summer classes last, as in hours per day, and for how many weeks? Is it generally very difficult to take two summer classes, as in workload etc....? I would greatly appreciate any tips :)

take what you're comfortable with. don't overload yourself. top colleges will still admit you if you haven't taken calculus... unless you say want to be a math major.

If you feel up to it, then do it.

My summer class had three two-hour lectures per week and two one-hour lectures. It was long-term, so it lasted about seven weeks. The workload was bearable.

It is hard to take summer classes as the pace is much faster than normal. But, again, if you feel up to it, do it!
