PreCalculus Course Last Summer - What Should I Do?

Last summer I had decided to take a Pre-Calculus Course so that I could move into Calculus AB Junior year. However, with my job where I was working 25+ hours a week and my family matters, I only got a bit through the course (20%) but I was doing well.

I have the option of extending it three months (for $75) and I could finish it by this summer.

However, I have two questions:
Should I complete the course if I am doing well in AP Calculus this year (A’s)? I could just say I skipped it…

Even if I complete it, should I put it on my transcript? I was unable to find an Honors Pre-Calc course when I had decided to take it and this course is a regular version of Pre-Calc meaning that it will not be weighted in my GPA.

Completing precalc seems pretty pointless to me now.

This is through your hs or outside? If it’s via the hs, ask your GC how it appears on your record. If outside, all courses taken are supposed to go on the college application. Did you officially withdraw? Or can you officially withdraw now?

So, you may need to explain it in one or two sentences under “Additional Information,” on the app. Chances are, when the college sees it, they’ll immediately see you’re doing well in AP calc.

Just don’t get surprised later, that it shows up as a fail for just abandoning it. Fix the situation now.

I’ll take this to heart and see what I can do - thanks for the help!
