Hi all,
This past semester has been a horrid one for me. Coupled with family troubles, and general junior year chaoticness, its been quite a wild ride. My grades have taken a toll this semester too. I’m usually a good math student, averaging A’s/B plusses, but this semester resulted me earning a C plus in math (honors precalculus). It has affected my gpa and my future course recs badly. However, I have the option of retaking REGULAR semester 1 of precalc over the summer. It will replace Honors precalc for first semester (and boost the gpa) , but colleges will still see that I took something over the summer. Do you guys think it wise to continue with this? I don’t want to sound like a gpa freak Thanks!
O personally feel that it is a waste of time retaking a course that you’ve passed. A better strategy is to blow their socks off by aceing your Fall courses.
You’re right, I totally understand, but honestly I don’t think the C will look very good on apps…especially for junior year…a teacher and a friend recommended it in order to make sure I understand everything and to also salvage the damage done :-S
