Predict my decision results to Brown, Harvard, Pomona, Middlebury...

I’m applying to: Brown ED (deferred, not much hope though), Pomona, Middlebury, Harvard, Carleton, Amherst, Bowdoin, Vassar, Tufts, Bryn Mawr and Brandeis (safeties)

Race- white
Dual citizenship with Italy, US citizen/resident
GPA- 4.3 Weighted (out of 4.7), not weighted 3.92 (to give some perspective here, my schools is extremely competitive and the Valedictorian W GPA is usually 4.38-4.4, also I have all A’s)
ACT- 35
Class rank- probably top 10%, not reported though
Italian Subject SAT- 770
APs- 9 total

Course load (just honors/AP): I’m taking almost the most rigorous courses possible, 4 APs and 1 Honor Senior year
AP: World History, Psych, Lang. & Comp, Bio, US Hist, Euro, Environmental, Lit, and French
Honors: Chem, French (3 yrs), US History, Calc

Honors/Awards:
National French Exam- Silver Award: won Sophomore year 2015, one of 2 people to win it
some decent local awards for my projects below
High Honor role- all of HS
AP Scholar
National Merit Commended student

Sports: JV Tennis 2 years, Varsity Tennis 2 years, V Golf 1 year

Leadership: Major one is a grant of $4,000 I applied for and was awarded Junior year to do a project on Healthy Eating for it in my school district (I organized 6 assemblies, 2 parent workshops, and a HS cafeteria tasting, also made a survey, successful impact which added organic and healthier options in the cafeterias, continuously adding more this year to improve the cafeteria food at all schools)
Started the Animal Rights club (president of it for 2 years)
Pres and VP of 2 clubs
Applying for 2 more grants on similar topics (one 10K the other 2K) for sustainable gardening and composting, very likely to get it (will find out in March sadly)

Volunteer: my grant project also gives me hours (at least 40, Junior year), Pony Power Therapies (Soph year 25 hrs), I help kids with disabilities (Soph-Senior, 20 hrs)

Recommendation Letters: one 10/10, the others I’m guessing 9/10, also an extra one from my superintendent who worked with me on the grant (8/10)

Essays- pretty darn good since I worked my butt off on them, my main essay is maybe a 9/10 and supplements are similar, show my personality, interest in the college, unique interests/qualities

Interviews- really great for Harvard and Pomona, good for Bryn Mawr Tufts and Brown, haven’t done the others yet

Additional Info:
I’m bilingual (Italian and English) and interested in majoring in Psych/Neuro

Also have family alumnae (not parents) at Carleton, Bowdoin, and Bryn Mawr

Let me know what your guesses are for my decision results!
I’m just curious to see other people’s opinions and see who is right, since I’m becoming extremely pessimistic about getting into any of my reaches now. And yes I know that they are totally insignificant because most of my schools are reaches for everyone so please don’t tell me that!

lol I’m always the first to comment on your posts. I’m pretty sure you know what I’m gonna say, but I’ll get the ball rolling on the comments.
Brown - accept/waitlist
Pomona - accept
Middlebury - accept
Harvard - reject (according to my mom they like really involved ECs?)/waitlist
Carlton - accept
Amherst - accept
Bowdoin - accept

And accept at the rest (although Tufts could reject you since your stats are really high; AKA Tufts syndrome. But if you show interest I think you’ll be accepted)

I know it’s pointless but chance me back?

@ap012199 Thanks for the optimistic outlook! Although I sincerely doubt I’ll get into that many, that was a nice confidence booster haha

Any other opinions out there? I’ll take anything!

Ill try the game

Brown- Accept/Waitlist
Pomona-Accept
Middlebury-Accept
Harvard- Reject
Carlton-Accept
Amherst- Accept
Bowdoin-Accept

TBH i have no clue lol.
@ap012199 lol we have the same one. just checked after i made my prediction xD

You have high hopes for me lol I hope you’re right @acron611! thanks for the input!

I don’t think that Harvard and others will be overly impressed in one SAT Subject Test (in your native language particularly). Why did you not take more?

@londondad I did take two others when I was a freshman but they were not impressive (under 650) and I decided on the ACT sophomore year so I knew I wouldn’t need the SAT subject tests if I had the ACT (most schools don’t require it). Harvard is the only school that requires it but they say if you have the ACT and APs to demonstrate your academic strengths they aren’t required.

@ricka8 No problem!! Good luck with your colleges.

Brown - accept (Your best bet. You have the great stats and the quirky extracurriculars.)
Pomona - accept/waitlist
Middlebury - accept
Harvard - reject- I don’t see anything extraordinary in your ECs that would captivate Harvard.
Carlton - accept
Amherst - waitlist
Bowdoin - accept

no - Pomona, Harvard

@preppedparent Just curious why do you say no for Pomona but not for Brown? Since the acceptance rates are so similar and they look for similar applicants.

I don’t think you’re diverse enough for Pomona, but you may be quirky enough for Brown.

@preppedparent I agree, that’s probably the case with Pomona. I could also see that being an issue for schools like Amherst. Thanks for your opinion!

Good Luck. I know you’ll be admitted to a few good places. Close the loop when you hear and let us all know, please.

@preppedparent what do you mean when you say “I don’t think you’re diverse enough for Pomona?” Do you mean ethnicity wise, background wise, EC wise, or a mix of all three?

Harvard seems to really like demonstrated success in SAT Subject Tests and not having this will not help your application when other kids will have as good or better applications as yours plus stellar SAT Subject Tests.

first two

Brown- Waitlist
Pomona-Accept
Middlebury-Accept
Harvard- Waitlist/Reject
Carlton-Accept
Amherst- Accept
Bowdoin-Accept

Update: I got an early notification from Amherst and was accepted!
