This is the first year Tufts will have an acceptance rate below 20%. While it's disappointing for the 80%+ who will unfortunately be rejected, it's pretty exciting times for our school. I'm thinking it's going to come in around 18.5% (3410/18410). That would mean a record-yield (at least for recent times) of 38.4%, compared to last year's 37.3% and 2015's 35.3%. Any other thoughts?

Haha, how did you come up with these statistics?

the past 2+ years have had such a high yield that I definitely expect admissions to let in fewer people this year. Like it’s even become such a problem that most juniors and seniors are not able to live on campus based on the sheer number of underclassmen (who have guaranteed housing). That would be awesome for our admissions rate to get under 20% though!

Official acceptance rate of the class for 2017 is 18.7%.
