Predicted IB over SAT?

Hello! So I was just wondering if you guys knew of any schools which accepted Predicted IB scores over SAT scores? So far, the only schools I know which do this are NYU and Northeastern. I have a predicted 40 at the IB, but a 1900 SAT. So I was wondering if you guys knew of any other schools which accepted Predicted IB scores as opposed to SAT scores? The schools I'm interested in are: UCLA, USC, Georgetown, George Washington, Boston College, University of Michigan, University of Chicago. Does anyone know anything about these? Thank you so much!

What are you talking about? The SAT is required at most competitive schools. Predicted test scores are evaluated with SAT scores and other relevant academic bits.

I’ve never heard of this happening and -when you think about it- taking predicted IB scores over SAT scores makes no sense. Predicted IB scores are essentially your “letter grade before the final”. They’re computed from your performance on IAs and in class and are used by -most- colleges only when your school does not provide real letter grades (A, B, C…).
Schools don’t typically throw out SAT scores in favor of letter grades (GPA, transcript, what have you) since the two are measures of different things.

Where did you see that Northeastern takes predicted IB scores instead of SAT? I have never seen that anywhere.

For NYU, I considered applying and recall seeing that they wanted to see IB predicted scores, but this was as replacement for SAT subject tests. (That was also a few years ago.) Here’s the current informatino on their website: <a href=“Standardized Tests”>Standardized Tests, which seems to have COMPLETED IB diploma or scores as a test submission option, but not predicted scores.

Also, have you considered trying the ACT? Its different format works out better for some students. I’d try out some practice tests.
