preferencing uc campuses

<p>hi everyone,</p>

<p>i am an australian student applying to study abroad in the us for the academic year beginning in august/september. i am currently completing my university of california application, which requires that i preference three campuses. i have two of my preferences, but am struggling with the third. i am tossing up between uci, ucsd, and ucd. does anyone have any advice as to which one would be better, particularly for an exchange student? i am also double majoring in political science and french.</p>

<p>I’m currently a student in California, and I think that SD is by far a preferable location for location’s-sake. However, I don’t know where the three of them stand in reference to each other within the departments. I think Irvine has a pretty developed Poli Sci program, and that’s not a bad location, but certainly not an awesome place. And Davis is just not in a good location at all. It would be difficult to get off-campus and into a city, if that’s something of any value to you.</p>
