Hey,

I'm curious as to how the Preferred Admissions Program works? If I say that I want to be pre admit to the school of dentistry, what does that mean? Am I committing myself to the dentistry thing if selected, or can I always still change my major and such? The reason is I'm not settled on dentistry yet, and am still exploring business, so I don't want to committ myself too early if selected. Also, do you know how competitive it is to be selected for this program/if its reasonable for me to even consider it based on my stats (if you want to see them, just go to the main page and search for "updated chances". It should be on the first couple of pages, so you wont have to search far, but I'll post them again)

Also, as far as senior grades is concerned, how much do they matter? If I apply early to mich and get my decision say in early november-late october, how much would I need to keep my GPA to avoid being rescinded? And do second semester grades even matter?

EDIT: Here are my stats for the pref admissions program:

demographics:
*I am an Asian Indian Male
*From a competitive public high school in Oregon: Beaverton High School, which was also rated the best AP school in Oregon, so yeah, its a smart school. (On top of that, our graduating class is rumored to be the best class of all time, and we were ranked 704 by newsweek putting us in the top 2.5% of all high schools or something like that!! This was before our class started taking APs, so that number will probably raise even more by next year because our class is that good)
