preferred admissions

I will be applying to UMich and I want to apply under the preferred admissions for the school of pharmacy. My question is if I am rejected from this, does this mean a general rejection to UMich? Or can I be rejected from the program but accepted to UMich? I ask because I don't know what my chances are of getting in, and I don't think they're very good, and if I'm risking my acceptance to UMich than I would rather just apply regularly. Thanks :o

The most probable answer would be: If you're rejected from preferred admissions, you'll end up in LSA and have another chance the following year (not a complete rejection from UM). I'm not that sure about it, but it's probable since that's the way the Ross business school works. I think all pre-professional schools work like that, but don't take my word for it.

btw, do you have the most posts on CC? lol

no i'm second lol :)

It's funny how you're just starting the college admissions process, yet you have the 2nd highest # of posts on the entire site lol

I'm pretty sure it's the way it works. You'll just end up in LSA. At this point, many LSA students are encouraged to have backup plans since the pharmacy school is hard to get into.

If you really want to get in, apply as early as possible.

i'd like to bump this up just to see if anyone knows anything for sure :p

u will be considered as a regular applicant if they reject you from your prefered admision, they willl review u for admission to LSA n then u can apply to the pharmacy school again during ur soph or w.e year, if u get accepted

btw wads LSA
