UCLA Undergrad Admissions: Profile of Admitted Transfer Students, Fall 2008

Fascinating data.

The admission rate for transfers from other UC campuses is 10% lower than that of transfers from CC's.

That actually is kinda crazy... I thought for sure the transfer rate from other UC schools would be much smaller.

Wow, the overall acceptance rate went down 5% from last year. Crazy!

Hopefully it doesn't keep going down... damn failing economy.

The number of applicants each year is also growing rapidly.

i love that my GPA is WAY below the average admit GPA, and yet i somehow still got in. ok then....

overall acceptance rate doesn't mean anything
if you have 1,220 new applicants, you are going to have a smaller acceptance rate. simple logic =/.

getting in with a GPA below the average just means you did TAP or applied for a major that wasn't so competitive to get in. Simple logic as well -_-
