That seems very manageable. For orgo, make sure you don’t get behind. The class is 100% test based so you don’t necessarily have to keep up with the readings.

Do you know anyone or have you personally taken bio, bio lab, physics, and Orgo in the same semester? I figured this is better than taking bio and bio lab over the summer?

My second semester freshman year I took bio lab, 1350, 1440, chem 2080, and intro russian at the same time. A lot of work, but ok. Last semester, I took intermediate russian, orgo, evolution for 5 credits, stats, hockey, and 3 credits of research. Trust me you will be fine. 1350 is just reading. 1500 is really annoying but not that hard. Orgo isn’t time consuming, but the material is hard. I have heard that auto tutorial physics is easy, you just need to keep up with your work. If you are organized you should be fine.

So the schedule looks doable or should I take bio 1500 in the spring sophomore year and then Orgo lab junior freshman year? (Taking the mcat in the summer before junior year)

Taking bio 1500 in the spring and orgo lab the following year sounds easier to me. It’s much better to do that and get good grades than to take it all at once and take a GPA hit as a result. If you think you can take all those sciences together and still do well (and if you want to put in all the time necessary to do so), then go for it. If you’re not sure, spread them out.

Orgo makes up a small part of the MCAT, and you’ll be studying from MCAT books anyway, so probably not. If you’re not sure, you don’t have to take the MCAT before junior year. I took mine in the summer before senior year and still applied to med schools on time.

I honestly don’t remember. I just remember being surprised how little orgo there was on the MCAT, as well as how easy it was after going through orgo at Cornell. I hardly studied for the orgo section at all.

See the reason I want to take the mcat the summer after sophomore year is because I want to avoid the new 2015 mcat because then I would have to study for the new one and the old one

Oh, right, I forgot about that. I’d say definitely get it out of the way then. I think you’d be fine taking it without having taken orgo lab - just put a little more time into studying orgo for the MCAT. If you’re uncomfortable with doing that, you can squeeze orgo lab in before the test too. Be prepared to work pretty hard to get good grades in all those science classes at the same time, though.
