Premed schools around New York

<p>I would like to go into the medical field, so I am seeking an undergraduate premed program. Please list recommended schools + chances. Preferably in New York but anywhere in the Northeast is fine. </p>

<p>GPA: 3.9 (unweighted)</p>

<p>Class Rank: top 2%</p>

<p>SAT: 2150 (First time without studying. Will take it again senior year)</p>

<p>Sat II- Math: 750

<p>Extracurricular: Future Business Leaders of America, The Crier (school newspaper), Student Council, Environmental club, Seek Greater Difference Math, Science, Language, English, History, Honor Societies, National Honor Society, Tennis. (Plan on adding more senior year)</p>

<p>Volunteer Work:volunteered several hours at the school store, volunteered at St. Jude Children Hospital, tutored students in various subjects. (Plan on adding more senior year)</p>

<p>Binghamton. It has a lot of pre-meds, but you have the stats to do well there. It also has potential early entry into med school for outstanding sophomores.</p>

<p>Stony Brook also has their Scholars for Medicine program. Entry is competetive.</p>

<p>Do not go some place where maintaining a GPA will be too difficult.</p>

<p>In NYC or NYS?</p>

<p>If NYC (or close by) consider Fordham, Columbia, or NYU (if you can afford the latter two especially).</p>

<p>If NYS, many more open up including the SUNYs listed, several LACs any of which can get you there, U Rochester, or Syracuse.</p>

<p>What can you afford? Can your family meet their EFC?</p>
