Pre-Med Schools in NY State

I'm looking for Colleges in New York State, public and private, that have acclaimed or excellent programs for pre-medical studies. Any Suggestions would be helpful. Also, here are some schools which I have been looking into.

-SUNY Binghamton
-SUNY at Buffalo
-Cornell University
-Colgate University
-Vassar College
-Hobart and William Smith Colleges
-Ithaca College
-Skidmore College
-Union College
-University of Rochester

Which of these would be the best choice? I know some of these are very selective e.g. Cornell and Vassar, but these are just some that I am considering. Let me know of any schools worth looking at!

I’m only a high school student myself, but I’ve heard that New York University is really good.

And SUNY Stonybrook seems to be another college for Med-School-bound people.

Cornell is both an excellent and popular premed choice.

SUNY Geneseo has a 92% med school acceptance rate with a brand new, gorgeous science center.

Stony Brook is also well known for its sciences.

Sophie Davis

There is no such thing as a pre-med school. Any college can give you the training /courses that are necessary for application to medical school. YOU get yourself into medical school, not a college. So please stop thinking there are “pre-med schools.”

Like engarde and aabbcc1789 wrote: Stonybrook University (SUNY) and Sophie Davis (CUNY) are said to be great school for pre-med studies.

Also, Brooklyn College (CUNY) has an awesome medical program affliation with SUNY Downstate Medical Center.

Sophie Davis has a 7 year medical program. I hear it’s rigorous and competitive.

To add another one to the list: Hunter College (CUNY)

Good Luck!
