premed stats?

Can anyone share usc's premed program stats, such as how many applied for medical school, how many got accepted, avg mcat and avg gpa of the accepted pool?

USC Pre-Health Advising - Facts & Figures

Thanks for the link.

Looks the acceptance rate is pretty low - 50% in 2007, just the national average I believe.

UCLA is worse and it's known as the school for pre-med. I guess it is tough for medical school admission lately.

UCLA Career Center

Here is UCB stats. It's kind of strange that there are less than 200 kids out of the whole school applying to med school.

Career Center - Medical School Statistics

I've always heard that most universities that post high acceptance rates for med school, except for certain places like stanford or johns hopkins, manage to do so by weeding out everyone except the top students - that way, the only students that complete pre-med requirements & actually apply to med school are the ones that are highly likely to get in anyways.

I think the right question to ask then is, what percentage of freshmen who enter pre-med actually finish pre-med, apply to med school, and actually get in.
