I just got accepted and I am now torn between umich and emory.
I know they both have great premed prgrams, but one of my teachers at school told me that since there are so many premed students at emory, they try to weed out as many students as they can and that they're "cut-throat." I also heard that this causes many premed students to transfer to other schools.. (Such as NU)
Is this true?
Your help will be GREATLY appreciated!

did u ever get a response to this?
we have the same question.

the premed track is pretty rigorous here. But from talking with friends at Tufts and Bowdoin, I think its that way in general.

Top schools want their mcat scores and med school placements to be high, and one way to support this is to “weed-out” students. But it is definitely doable, and I would guess that the difficulty pays off in the long run.
