hi everyone,

Okay, I know this is probably a really stupid question, but I was just wondering, about how much going to Johns Hopkins really helps with being prepared for and being accepted to med school. I know it has a really good reputation for medicine, but is really hard to get good grades, therefore lowering your GPA, which makes it harder to get into med school? Are the students really happy with the program?

I just want some insight to what its like to go to Johns Hopkins as a premed, so any comments would be great.

Thanks:]

I read an article about how US Newsweek ranked JHU as the "hottest" school for premed. HAHA, #1 for PREMED.

Among the top schools I would advise choosing the one with the best fit for you not the one with supposedly highest admit rate. Hopkins' peers (ie WashU, Northwestern, Cornell, Georgetown) will also prepare you for med school. Go where you will happiest.

Hopkin's peers are Columbia, Duke, Cornell, Northwestern, Brown, UChicago...
